These terms explain how Senior First Home Care presents in-home support, how care packages may be requested through this website, and the responsibilities of families who invite caregivers into a home.
Last updated: 4 September 2026. These Terms & Services (“Terms”) govern your use of seniorfirsthomecare.com (the “Site”) and any request for companion care, personal care, memory support, respite coverage, live-in support, or medical escort arranged through Senior First Home Care (“we”, “us”, “our”). By browsing the Site, adding a care package to the cart, submitting a form, or receiving care after a confirmed plan, you agree to these Terms.
Senior First Home Care coordinates non-medical in-home support for older adults. Our services are designed to help people remain in familiar surroundings with assistance for daily living, companionship, household rhythm, and accompaniment to appointments. We are not a hospital, clinic, emergency service, or pharmacy. Caregivers do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or replace the advice of a licensed clinician. When a situation requires urgent medical attention, families should use local emergency channels immediately and inform us afterward so the care plan can be reviewed.
Typical support may include conversation and social engagement, meal preparation, hydration reminders, light housekeeping related to the person receiving care, laundry of personal items, assistance with bathing and dressing when agreed, walking support inside or near the home, memory-friendly cueing, overnight or weekend coverage for family rest, and escort to scheduled visits. The exact mix is written into a care plan after a family consultation and may change as needs change.
Requests may be submitted by an older adult who still manages their own affairs, by a spouse, by an adult child, or by another person with lawful authority to arrange care. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share details about the person who would receive care. If several relatives disagree about hours, access to the home, or the type of help needed, we may pause matching until a single coordinating contact is named. We may decline or end a plan if the home is unsafe for caregivers, if requested tasks fall outside non-medical home care, or if information needed for a safe match is withheld.
The appointment page displays illustrative care packages with prices. Adding an item to the cart does not create a binding service contract and does not reserve a named caregiver. The cart is stored only in your browser. No payment card is processed on this Site and no charge is taken at checkout. When you submit the checkout form, you are sending a request for a representative to contact you. Package names, durations, and prices may be adjusted after conversation to reflect actual hours, overnight needs, two-person transfers, pets, stairs, or memory support intensity.
Displayed prices are starting figures for planning. They are not a quote until a coordinator confirms them in writing by email. If a package is removed from the Site, any cart that still contains it will be treated as a general inquiry for similar support. Completing checkout shows a confirmation message on your screen; it does not by itself schedule a first visit.
A booked appointment on this Site is a request for a conversation or a first visit window. We will confirm date, duration, caregiver assignment, and tasks by email before care begins. If we cannot meet a requested window, we will offer alternatives. Families should share access instructions, mobility equipment, allergy information, preferred names, and any household members or animals the caregiver should expect. Service starts only after confirmation. Until then, either party may withdraw without a site-based penalty.
Care happens in private homes. Families agree to provide a reasonably safe setting: working lights in care areas, a clear path for walking aids, access to water and a restroom for the caregiver, and honest disclosure of smoking, weapons stored in the home, aggressive pets, or known infection risk. Caregivers may leave a visit and report to the coordinator if they encounter harassment, intoxication that makes care unsafe, or a home condition that presents immediate danger. We will attempt to resume care once the concern is addressed.
Transfers, bathing, and stairs require cooperation. If two-person assistance is needed, the care plan must say so. Caregivers are not expected to lift a person alone in a way that risks injury. Families remain responsible for durable medical equipment they own, such as walkers, wheelchairs, or hospital beds, and for keeping those items in usable condition.
Caregivers follow the agreed task list. They may remind a person to take medication that is already prepared by the family or a pharmacy, but they do not measure doses or decide whether a medicine should be skipped. They do not perform sterile wound care, injections, or other skilled nursing unless a separately authorized clinician is involved under a different arrangement. They do not provide legal advice, manage bank accounts, or witness documents unless a coordinator has approved a specific, limited task in writing.
Companionship includes presence, conversation, and help with ordinary days. It does not include guaranteed improvement of a medical condition. Memory support aims to reduce distress and keep routines familiar; it cannot reverse cognitive change. Medical escort is accompaniment and practical help, not clinical treatment during travel.
Families agree to keep a coordinating email active, to share schedule changes with reasonable notice, and to treat caregivers with the same respect they expect for the older adult. Keys, gate codes, and alarm instructions must be current. If the person receiving care is left alone between visits, families remain responsible for that interval. Groceries, incontinence supplies, and preferred foods are provided by the household unless a coordinator agrees otherwise. Tips are never required; if offered, they must not be tied to extra tasks that fall outside the plan.
Visit notes exist so families and coordinators understand how a day unfolded. They are not a complete medical record. You agree that we may store care-plan details needed to match caregivers and to keep visits consistent. Our Privacy Policy describes how website forms, email subscriptions, and browser storage are handled. You should not upload highly sensitive identity documents through the public forms if a simpler description of need would suffice for a first reply.
Once a visit is confirmed, we ask for as much notice as you can give if it must be cancelled, so another family or a resting caregiver is not left waiting. Repeated last-minute cancellations may lead us to pause the plan. Adding hours, overnight coverage, or a second caregiver requires a new confirmation. Unused cart items expire when you clear browser storage or complete checkout. After checkout, the on-screen message is your acknowledgement that a representative will follow up; it is not a voucher for unlimited future visits.
You may use the Site for lawful personal purposes: learning about home care, reading these Terms, requesting contact, subscribing to care notes, or building a client-side cart. You may not scrape the Site in a way that burdens our host, post malware, impersonate a family or caregiver, or copy our logo, photographs, or wording for another care business. Content on the Site is for general information. It is not a personal care assessment. Testimonials reflect individual family experiences and are not a promise of the same outcome in every home.
The logo, color system, layout, and written materials on this Site are protected as our intellectual property. Photographs are used to illustrate the warmth of in-home care and do not depict a guaranteed caregiver assignment. Social sharing buttons in the header and footer let you share public pages; they do not share the contents of your cart or form submissions.
If you join our email list, you agree to receive care notes, seasonal reminders, and occasional service updates. You may leave the list at any time through the Unsubscribe page. Unsubscribing does not cancel an active care plan. Transactional messages about a requested appointment may still be sent to the email you used on a form until that request is closed.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Senior First Home Care is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from website use, delayed replies, or a caregiver match that a family later declines. In-home care involves ordinary life risks: a person may still fall, forget a meal on an uncovered hour, or feel lonely between visits. We work to reduce those risks through matching, notes, and communication, but we cannot eliminate them. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for willful misconduct where such a limit would be invalid.
The Site is provided “as available.” Browser cart data can be lost if you clear storage. You should keep your own notes of packages you intended to request. We are not responsible for third-party social platforms linked from the footer.
We may update packages, illustrations, and these Terms as our service offering grows. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms for new requests. Existing confirmed care plans remain governed by the confirmation email until those plans are renewed or ended.
Either the family or Senior First Home Care may end an ongoing plan with written notice by email. We may end immediately if a caregiver is at risk, if requested tasks become skilled medical work we do not provide, or if invoices for confirmed services (arranged off this Site) remain unpaid under a separate billing agreement. After an ending, we will stop new visits and, on request, provide a simple summary of recent visit themes to the coordinating contact.
Questions about these Terms should be sent through the Contact Us form or to hello@seniorfirsthomecare.com. Please include “Terms” in the subject line of your message so the care desk can route it. We do not publish a public street listing or a call-in number on this website.
Thank you for trusting Senior First Home Care with something as intimate as a home and a daily routine. Our aim is that these Terms make the relationship clear so the real work—unhurried, respectful support for older adults—can proceed with fewer surprises.
